Adam MayI have been working in independent practice in Llanddaniel Fab since 1991. I am an accredited Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies. I am also a fully trained EMDR practitioner. I am a past Chair of the North West Wales BABCP Branch, and current Chair of the Independent Practitioner Special Interest Group of the BABCP.

I graduated from the University of Dundee and hold an MA with Honours.  I have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in CBT Supervision awarded by the University of Liverpool. I also hold a Certificate in Youth and Community Work Supervision from the University of Canterbury, for which I studied with the YMCA through George Williamson College.

I provide supervision for the two associate therapists working with this practice, and three other independent practitioners.

I recently co-founded CBT Psychotherapy Briefings, which provides continuing professional development webinars designed primarily for CBT psychotherapists working in independent practice.

I work to the BABCP Standards of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics. I have a peer supervision arrangement with Dr David Baker, and with Dr Faramarz Hashempour, both CBT Therapists in independent practice.

I am available to see self referred clients, including people who self refer through Medra, and I see clients referred from a number of healthcare agencies and employee assistance programmes.
