Friendly and encouraging Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, face to face.

Amanda Potts

I am an Associate Counsellor with the Adam May CBT Practice, and a counsellor supporting adults who experienced sexual abuse in childhood.

I am accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; a Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavioural Analysis.

I have sixteen years experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs, and a further nine years of working in health and social care with young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. I also have experience of working in a care setting with older people suffering from dementia and mental health problems.

I am supported and supervised by Adam May for my work at this practice, and I receive further supervision from another supervisor for my work at Stepping Stones.

I am available to see self referred clients, including people who self refer through Medra, and I see clients referred from a number of healthcare agencies and employee assistance programmes.
